About Rural Myth Co.

Hi, I'm Nancy.

I grew up in the suburbs outside Seattle, where weekends meant hiking boots, campfires, and a trunk full of gear. I've hiked Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier, crawled through ice caves, poked around the Shasta country of Northern California, and spent more afternoons than I can count scanning dry lake beds for fossils. These days I drag my two boys along for hands-on field lessons, and somewhere around the campfire the conversation always turns to the same question: what's out there in the dark?

Rural Myth Co. is where that question lives. Every shirt is a little piece of the stories people tell on back roads and front porches: Bigfoot on the ridge line, the thing in the loch, the lights over the hollow, the reason Grandma always said to close the gate.

Am I a believer? Some of it, yes. Some of it, I'm skeptical. But I've never been a non-believer of anything. These designs are made for people who feel the same way, the curious ones who'd rather wonder than dismiss.

About the shirts

Every design is printed to order on a Comfort Colors 1717, a heavyweight, garment-dyed cotton tee that feels broken-in from the first wear. Each design is offered only in the shirt colors it actually looks good on.
