High Camp IV — Vintage Yeti Expedition
Rural Myth Co. | Field & Folklore
The expedition reached the summit.
Somebody had already been there.
Our High Camp IV Yeti expedition shirt recreates a vintage 1950s Himalayan mountaineering patch, complete with a snow-covered peak, a little red expedition pennant, and a rather inconvenient discovery.
High above the team’s flag, a trail of enormous bare footprints crosses the snowfield toward the summit.
No boots.
No crampons.
No rope.
Apparently, no trouble with the altitude, either.
The expedition’s official report is printed around the emblem:
HIGH CAMP IV
ELEV. 21,400 FT
WE WEREN’T FIRST UP HERE.
Which seems like a reasonable conclusion.
Rendered in Bone, Fog Gray, Rust Red, and Pine Black, this original design combines classic mountaineering-patch aesthetics with the enduring mystery of the Yeti.
No monster portrait.
No dramatic encounter.
Just a mountain, a flag, and the uncomfortable realization that someone else made the climb first.
