Some mysteries announce themselves with strange noises, enormous footprints, or something moving between the trees.
Others simply appear over the mountains and refuse to explain what they're doing there.
Ridge Lights — Panorama No. 2 is a mountain mystery lights shirt from the Rural Myth Co. field archives, in the spirit of the famous ridge-light legends of the Appalachians.
Inspired by the panoramic sketches once made by survey crews, this vintage-style illustration traces a long, pine-covered ridgeline beneath a carefully ruled compass-bearing scale marked 040° · 050° · 060°.
Above the trees, five small lights hang in an uneven row.
No aircraft.
No visible source.
No apparent explanation.
Rendered in bone and fog gray, with muted gold reserved only for the mysterious lights, the artwork pairs antique scientific illustration with the unsettling beauty of unexplained nighttime phenomena. It prints as a wide band across the chest. Available in Brick, Grape, Moss, Pepper, Washed Denim, and Espresso.
For lovers of strange lights, mountain folklore, vintage field surveys, and anyone who has ever watched something unexplained hanging above a distant ridge.
The report has been filed.
The explanation has not.
