Taken at Dusk — Jackalope Wall Mount
Rural Myth Co. | Field & Folklore
Every roadside diner out West has something unusual hanging on the wall.
This one comes with house rules.
Our Taken at Dusk — Jackalope Wall Mount western shirt features a finely engraved jackalope trophy, complete with realistic jackrabbit features, branching deer antlers, and a carved wooden shield.
The mount hangs against a knotty-pine wall, just as it might in a dusty diner or roadside gift shop somewhere along a two-lane highway.
A small brass plate identifies the specimen:
TAKEN AT DUSK · SAGE FLATS · 1932
Very official.
Very respectable.
And tucked into the corner is a handwritten note:
PLEASE DO NOT OFFER IT WHISKEY
Apparently, someone had to be told.
Inspired by the old Western folklore that jackalopes have a particular fondness for whiskey, this original design combines antique sporting illustration with the peculiar traditions of roadside Americana.
Rendered in Bone, Muted Gold, Tobacco Brown, and Pine Black, the artwork features detailed engraving, warm wood grain, aged brass, and one remarkably dignified jackalope.
Part of the Field & Folklore Collection from Rural Myth Co.
