The Red-Eyed Visitor — Strange Country Almanac
Rural Myth Co. | Field & Folklore
The almanac predicts frost, scattered clouds, and one unidentified visitor on the power pole.
Apparently, it's going to be a strange November.
The Red-Eyed Visitor is a Mothman-inspired folk horror design made to look like a page torn from an old farmer's almanac, back when people planned their planting by the moon, watched the skies for weather, and knew better than to investigate certain noises after sundown.
An empty farm road winds past bare November trees and a distant barn. A wooden utility pole stands against the evening sky.
Perched above the road is something that definitely wasn't mentioned in last year's forecast.
Tall. Gaunt. Winged.
And watching.
Its two rust-red eyes are the only color interrupting the weathered bone-and-gold engraving.
Framed by antique weather symbols, moon phases, and traditional almanac typography, the illustration offers one particularly useful piece of seasonal advice:
WHEN THE EYES SHINE RED, TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME.
Part of the Strange Country collection from Rural Myth Co., this vintage-inspired almanac shirt celebrates the peculiar traditions, forgotten warnings, and unexplained visitors of rural American folklore. Available in Grape, Ivory, Moss, Mustard, Pepper, Washed Denim, and Espresso.
Because sometimes the old farmers knew exactly what they were talking about.
